Fhatuwani Mukheli is a South African, multidisciplinary artist, born and raised in Soweto. He works as a painter, photographer, and film director. His work often explores themes of childhood, family, and the universal relationship between parent and child, drawing inspiration from his upbringing and his mother's strength. Mukheli is also known for co-founding the creative collective "I See a Different You," which aims to reshape perceptions of Black identity and African urban life through photography and film.
